چکیده

A purely mathematical, behavioral model for Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCO) is derived. It is based on a Non-Linear Discrete Convolution approach [1] which allows a time-domain formulation compatible with commercial system-level simulators. The approach enables the VCO nonlinear dynamics to be described with great accuracy and computational efficiency, and its influence on the performance of an entire subsystem to be investigated. Model validation, implementation in commercial systemlevel simulation tools as well as application examples are provided in the paper.

A Discrete Singular Convolution Method for the Seepage Analysis in Porous Media with Irregular Geometry

A novel discrete singular convolution (DSC)  formulation  is  presented for the seepage analysis in irregular geometric porous media. The DSC is a new promising numerical approach which has been recently applied to solve several engineering problems. For a medium with regular geometry, realizing of the DSC for the seepage analysis is straight forward. But DSC implementation for a medium with ir...

In this research, nonlinear dynamic analysis of concrete shear wall using a new nonlinear model based on damage mechanics approach and considering bond slip effects is presented. Nonlinear behavior of concrete is modeled by a rotational smeared crack model using damage mechanics approach. The proposed model considers major characteristics of the concrete subjected to two and three dimensional l...

Numerical resolution of large deflections in cantilever beams by Bernstein spectral method and a convolution quadrature.

The mathematical modeling of the large deflections for the cantilever beams leads to a nonlinear differential equation with the mixed boundary conditions. Different numerical methods have been implemented by various authors for such problems. In this paper, two novel numerical techniques are investigated for the numerical simulation of the problem. The first is based on a spectral method utiliz...

Nonlinear filtering in discrete time : A particle convolution approach

In this paper a new generation of particle filters for nonlinear discrete time processes is proposed, based on convolution kernel probability density estimation. The main advantage of this approach is to be free of the limitations encountered by the current particle filters when the likelihood of the observation variable is analytically unknown or when the observation noise is null or too small...

Discrete Singular Convolution Method for Numerical Solutions of Fifth Order Korteweg-De Vries Equations

A new computational method for solving the fifth order Korteweg-de Vries (fKdV) equation is proposed. The nonlinear partial differential equation is discretized in space using the discrete singular convolution (DSC) scheme and an exponential time integration scheme combined with the best rational approximations based on the Carathéodory-Fejér procedure for time discretization. We check several ...
